Brian Parrish began his electrical career in 1990 and has since held several positions in the industry, including electrical apprentice, field electrician, field superintendent, and project manager. After achieving significant success in the industry, he established the first Electrical & Lighting Solutions, Inc. (ELS) branch in Richmond, VA. While providing energy-saving solutions to communities for over 20 years, ELS has always been committed to delivering high-quality services that uphold honesty, value, and safety.

In 2020, Brian extended his expertise in the electrical and lighting field to the Outer Banks area, where he opened his second location, ELS OBX, with the help of his son, Michael Parrish. 

Michael immersed himself in the electrical and lighting industry at a young age. His passion and dedication led him to embark on his electrical apprenticeship while he was still in high school. Upon graduation, Michael completed his apprenticeship early and earned his Journeyman Electrical License, Master Electrical License, Virginia Class A Contractor License, and North Carolina Unlimited Electrical Contractor License. Michael has attended various classes and schools throughout the country to further his expertise in LED lighting and controls. His unwavering commitment to learning and professional development has enabled him to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

In 2009, Michael joined his father full-time at Electrical & Lighting Solutions, where he gained invaluable job-site experience and worked closely with contractors, overseeing projects of all sizes with great attention to detail and precision. Michael moved to the Outer Banks with his family in 2023 to oversee the Manteo location.  

When the father-son pair is not engaged in work, they relish spending quality time with their family, indulging in the joys of fishing, and pursuing their passion for duck hunting. They may also be contemplating their next fishing trip or hunting expedition.
